We organise and provide training in education, health, human rights, environmental issues, peace building, income generation, and community development to achieve these objectives. Through our work, we have been able to establish peace, vocational training, and community development centres in the Trincomalee, Ampara and Kegalla districts. Our organisational work has taught us that creating a peaceful environment takes a lot of hard work and commitment. For us to have maximum impact, we have found it important to live in the community with which we work. In that way both the community and the organisation learn from the work they do together and the changing and learning process goes both ways. </span><h3 style="clear: left; color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><a name="What Services Are Provided?">What Services Are Provided?</a></h3> <ul style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);"><li>Education programs;</li><li>awareness raising on health, human rights, environmental issues, peace building;</li><li>launching income generation and community development projects.</li></ul> <h3 style="clear: left; color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><a name="Geographical Area of Operation">Geographical Area of Operation</a></h3><span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);"> Sabaragamuwa, Eastern, Central, and Uva Provinces </span><h3 style="clear: left; color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><a name="Funding Resources">Funding Resources</a></h3><span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);">Facilitating Local Initiatives for Conflict Transformation (FLICT); “Trickle Up Program” (USA); Japan international Cooperation Agency (JICA) (NFPO –Partnership ) </span><h3 style="clear: left; color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><a name="What Further Information Would You Like?">What Further Information Would You Like?</a></h3><span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);"> Information on funding sources, on more peace and development related education. </span><h3 style="clear: left; color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><a name="What New Contacts Would You Like To Make?">What New Contacts Would You Like To Make?</a></h3><span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);"> Contact with resource persons and organisations who work on peace and development. </span><h3 style="clear: left; color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><a name="Associated Organisations">Associated Organisations</a></h3> <ul style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);"><li>Community, Environment and Humanitarian Development Society– Kinniya;</li><li>Peace and community development front– Muthur;</li><li>Peace, Community, Social Welfare Development Society– Potuvil;</li><li>Women’s, Children’s and Rural Development Society– Addalachenai;</li><li>Community Network Training Agency for Conflict Transformation (CONTACT) – Hatton;</li><li>Wasana Social Development Foundation (Wasana Foundation) –Galle</li></ul><br /><h3 style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);">Initiatives</h3><ul style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);"><li><a href="http://www.insightonconflict.org/contact">Contact</a></li><li><a href="http://www.insightonconflict.org/japan_sri_lanka_friendship_villa">CECUP PROJECT Eastren Province Japan-ODA helps<br /></a></li><li><a href="http://www.insightonconflict.org/promoting_peace_and_harmony_amon">Peace and Harmony among Muslims and Sinhalese</a></li><li><a href="http://www.insightonconflict.org/peace_community_and_economic_de">Peace, Community, and Economic Development Centre</a></li></ul><h3 style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);">Contact Details</h3> <ul style="color: rgb(255, 153, 102);"><li>President: M.S.
